Most Disliked
While Lefty's offers quality food, some patrons mention the occasional wait, especially during peak hours. Lines can stretch out, with Friday evenings hitting full capacity. This longer wait can deter those seeking a quick bite between errands. A few reviews point out personal preferences regarding their fries; crinkle-cut fries don’t resonate with every guest, with some preferring the traditional straight-cut variety. Additionally, the limited menu options can be a downside for those wanting greater variety. Finally, families with small children note that high chairs aren't always readily available, which might be inconvenient during busy lunch rushes. Despite these drawbacks, enthusiastic patrons usually see them as minor inconveniences in exchange for great burger experiences.

I tried their Bacon Cheese burger ($6.75), a Double Cheese burger ($7.95) and a Raspberry milkshake ($5.25). Everything tasted good, especially the double cheese burger. The cheese melted around the patty and made it taste kinda creamy. The milkshake was great. It was quite busy, we waited for about 20 minutes. They have plenty of parking and about 7 picnic tables.

HITS THE SPOT ~ My son and I while out exploring the back roads on our Harleys when we found this little joint. Plenty of parking and had that old burger joint feel. The woman taking our order was friendly and making us laugh. There were about 29 people in front of us but the line kept moving. The food took longer than a fast food establishment. But when you got your order. It was well worth the wait. The fries were perfect golden and fluffy on the inside. The dogs were perfectly cooked and juicy. And the burger was spot on. We will be back that’s for sure.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant find of the year. It’s a total time capsule. I love the whole design they’ve got going on and the way the menu doesn’t try to do too much. They know exactly what they’re good at. I got a deluxe bacon cheeseburger, a shake, and some fries, and it was all under $20. This place is perfect for grabbing a good old American burger, a little slice of that classic roadside charm. Plus they’ve got benches made out of old surfboards, which is just so cool.

Ok after serious deliberation, a Einstein level of mathmatics, and a small existential crisis, I have decided that this is the best burger I have ever had in my life. The double deluxe is the perfect balance of ingredients, packed with flavor, and all at a price that won't break the bank. I will say I am not a fan of crinkle fries, they are clearly the worst form of potato, however their onion rings are amazing. Service was fast, there was a constant line of about 3-4 people but no one was waiting long, they zipped through and got our food quickly. Lastly, that shake... I'm a big banana shake fan and they nailed this. We will absolutely be back for some more of the best burger in Tacoma.

Just moved here from Seattle and my kid said" this is the only place we need to eat out at". I agree with him it's a great burger spot. Its going to be our go to now.

I had read so much about this place, I had to see if it was worth the hype. It did after all. The burger was super juicy and not greasy at all. I had the mushrooms and onions burger and it did not disappoint. The chocolate oreo shake was a perfect consistency. Wish it was bigger than a 16 oz but I was really full afterwards. Would definitely come back and recommend it for other burger fanatics.

Look. You have to go to understand why it takes awhile for your name to be called, so what. When I tell you it's worth the wait, it's actually worth the wait!. When you pull into the parking lot, be patient and don't rush to get to the window because there will be a disorganized makeshift line and everyone waiting, knows who's next. The menu is located above the order and pick up window and you're going to notice that everything is written in chalk ( nostalgic to say the least ).. anyhoo hoo. My wife ordered the single patty burger and I ordered a double cheeseburger with Fringe, it's a combination of fries and onion rings. My wife also got a chocolate shake and I'll throw it out there, they are extremely smooth and creamy. The food is classic burgers, fries, chicken baskets, etc, but the craziest thing about it was the wait. It truly was worth the wait!! It was about families and friends, along with perfect strangers hanging out and enjoying the atmosphere.
